Michael Ching is a composer of operas and vocal music. He has been the Artistic Director of "Opera Memphis":http://www.operamemphis.org since 1992. This site carries a wide variety of Mr. Ching's art songs and arrangements. The arrangements include spirituals, American folk songs, and old Italian songs available with license at only $1.00 per page (pdf).
His opera, CORPS OF DISCOVERY, was commissioned and premiered by the University of Missouri-Columbia, with subsequent performances at the University of Idaho, Opera Memphis and Fargo-Moorhead Opera. Another opera, BUOSO'S GHOST "(MMB Music)":http://www.mmbmusic.com/default.aspx, is a sequel to GIANNI SCHICCHI. BUOSO'S GHOST has been performed many times, most recently at Chicago Opera Theatre and "New Jersey Opera Theatre":http://www.njot.org/news/rev_us1_071906.htm.
